Default Neutral safety switch
I have to really mash the clutch pedal to start the car. Is there an adjustment for this?

You can adjust it. It's mounted on the pedal assembly above the clutch arm. Just threads in and out of it's holding nut.

Default Switch
So since i have to push the pedal to the floor..does that mean the pedal pushes on the switch vs. releasing the switch.

No, I believe it releases the switch as you press down on the pedal.

Ok, sounds like its normal for the pedal to go to the floor. Never had a car like that and i have always owned stick cars.
