I always wave. C7 drivers are less likely to wave back. Doesn't bother when people don't respond, and when they do, they almost always wave at about the same time I do.
In my neck of the woods for every 25 C7's, only 1 wave. All the new Z06's or GS's I see not a single one waves. I also get no waves from the C4 crowd either. C3 crowd waves and the 60's vettes I see I'm too busy drooling to wave lol. 95% of the C6 and C5 guys/girls wave.
Then again I live in Florida and vettes here are a dime a dozen until you try and buy one; all of a sudden the owners think they are covered in Platinum
I plan on waving but hardly ever see Corvettes in this neck of the world. So I truly am waiting for a meeting and will give them one he** of a wave. (Mostly dirty, smelly, noisy trucks with NO mud flaps and that never signal here) Until then I am "saving the wave"

I'm a big believer in the wave in fostering/promoting the Corvette hobby. However, responses back here are pretty slim, virtually nonexistant from C7 types (by the way, whats that all about?). Anyway, in my fairly long and varied automotive life I've found that the Porsche community was the absolute best about acknowledging each other on the road, regardless of year, model, value or cost. Very good about supporting, recognizing and helping each other. Sure would like to see the Corvette community bump it up a notch or two in recognizing each other. Everyone take good care!

It must be a regional thing. Up hear C7 drivers usually are the first to wave. Probably because it's not their first Corvette. Every C7 owner I have talked to had other Corvettes.
Always wave, sometimes a little slow to wave, some wave back, some don't.
Can't comment on the C7 club if they do or don't wave....
I remember reading when the C6's were new folks said the same thing about lack of waves from the new series owners. Some do some don't.....
I enjoy the wave and try to keep this tradition alive
I always wave too, probably get a 50-60% return wave from C5-C6 drivers. I've only got 1 return wave from a C7 in the last year. Two days ago I was out cruising, saw a pristine C1, the driver looked my way, I waved and he put his nose up
That's awful! I just don't understand why people think they are better than the next person because of what they drive....NOT!!! Hold your head high and keep on drivin and wavin!
BTW, I wave all the time and 90% get a wave back or visa versa! Sometimes, as already stated, they just didn't see us! No biggy!
Yes, I give the wave, but more and more often there is no return wave.
I've noticed a pattern... the newer the Vette, the less chance you have of getting a return wave. The antique/classic owners seem to have more respect and appreciation for the culture- including the 'wave'. You get two C1's passing each other, there WILL be a mutual wave... Two C7's? Probably not. I think the wave reciprocation rate drops exponentially every generation after C3. Just my observation.

I through it was just me the C-7 guys and gals act a little funny. I have seen some turn away like ( as if ) it's kind of a turn off..???
When I bought my C4, I had no idea about the wave. Then an older guy in a nice Vette waved, so I waved back (as my mother taught me to do). Then it happened a few weeks later, then again after that. By the 3rd time I had figured it out.
As a motorcyclist, I was taught to wave and do so. I wave when I see another Corvette and more often than not, get a wave back.
I was pulled over for speeding and got a wave from a very nice C7.
I ALWAYS wave to my fellow Vette drivers - I don't care what color, what year, what condition, or who's driving - if you're in a Vette - I consider you a brother/sister of mine...period.
Its sad that in today's world that most folks don't wave back. Its the same mentality with holding doors for folks. I was raised to ALWAYS hold a door for a lady - (not picking on woman here) but I maybe get a "thank you" 50% of the time...where when I was growing up and my father would hold a door for a woman, they always said thank you!

..with the holding doors thing... You know what really irritates me, is when you go through the trouble of holding a door for someone, and they feel the need to reach out and push it open like another 1/4 inch... WHAT IS THAT??? I'VE GOT THE DOOR!!! I'M STANDING HERE HOLDING IT SO YOU DID'NT HAVE TO DO THAT!!!
I've waved since I first received one in my C5 (which is my first Corvette)... I'll be sure to continue when I'll be cruising in the new C7 GS in the spring!
