Ha Ha

You know the old saying, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time"

I still have a section at the back on one side that needs to be done but I ran out of good weather for this season.

Harbor Freight is the Ronco of the tool world. They sell crap. A DA from them would likely fail within a few months. I bought a pneumatic DA sander from HF and it actually flew apart the first day. The wheel just sheared right through sending fragments flying at high velocity. I would never buy anything from that junk yard again.

I've had a Griots Garage Random Orbital since 2012 and used it on several cars. Love it.

I used that with Griots pads and/or Lake country pads on several cars. Lake Country pads seem to be a good combo of quality and price. I've used soley Meguiars "ultimate compound" and "ultimate polish" -- mostly b/c i'm afraid of using anything with more cut, and they work well.

It worked magic on my 1986 C10 (that my grandfather bought new). It sat in a field for the last 15 years, not running for the last 3 or 4. Hood was so oxidized it felt like sandpaper...

I first purchased. PC7424 based on many reviews, works super well and is totally foolproof
A few years ago I stepped up to a Flex 3401 and just love this unit.
Twice as fast and powerful, again it has a great 'safety factor' so no burnt paint etc. the pad just keeps turning and working.
I don't polish vehicles all the time so I cannot speak to heavy usage and or longevity, it is a well made tool..
The Flex and Menzerna polishes for me are a great combo!

love my porter cable I'm using now with the adams polishes. I really want to move on to the flex soon for faster results and smoother operation.

Has anyone used the Torqx brand that they sell at Chemical guys website. They offer the DA plus three pads and 4 sample polishes and waxes for $159.
