Thinking of adding a show and go front plate and was wondering about how to mount it. I looked under the front bumper and it looks like it is all plastic. Can it be mounted to that? Does anyone have any advice or experience in mounting a retractable front plate system? Thanks!
Obviously you live in a two plate state, so why not do what a lot of we two state plate people do, and get a personal plate instead of going through all that un necessary mounting a unit to hide your plate.
Pick something you like, or if you have a business like I do, it is free advertising.
Many have commented on my plate, and I am glad to have it.

I have run the Show-n-Go on my Mini Cooper S (I adapted it easily to the Mini) for quite some time. This is the second one I had to mount because my brother tapped a curb parking it once and bent the bracket. The second one has not worked in quite a while now since it got pretty crudded up. My Mini was my daily driver for five years which means I drove it rain or shine so the delicate motor of the Show-n-Go couldn't over come the friction that the corroding bracket created on the slide mechanism. I just leave it in the up position now. The car is no longer my dd anymore.
This video is when I first installed it. I originally mounted this because of a fix-it ticket for no front tag when I first got to Kali. I don't run a front tag on my dd C7 now.
That is mine above, and recently I removed it and covered the edges with tiny black neoprene weatherstripping to keep it from getting wet inside the cover. I have not tested it yet though.
I installed the remote Show N Go about 5 years ago and have no problems . I found the install no problem my difficult part was just getting myself to drill a couple holes under bumper. I double stacked 2 x 6 to drive up on to get enough clearance to fit drill. If no 2x6 you could drive car on lawn to curb and let bumper hang over and that should give you enough clearance. With remote model you have to hook up power wire. There is a manual model also . I 'm no mechanic and was able to do with no problem. If you look close you can see plate holder in down position, Hope this helps.
