Hey guys I've been putting a bunch of miles on the C5 lately and it's been running great. Today I felt the power cut between 2,000 to 3,000rpm I was at moderate throttle 1st gear.
So so I drive for 5 minutes trying to replicate this and get it again in 2nd gear about 2750rpm ... Power cut hard enough to throw my head forward.... Now the car feels a bit dogish ... So I hit a quiet road and hammer down hard and it throws a CEL.
2 codes are on my scanner: P0137 and P0157 -- I believe these are downstream O2 sensors?
Why would my car have cut power so hard?
I did did plugs and wires 2 weeks ago so I figured it was for sure a cracked plug or loose wire. O2 sensors would not have been on my radar and how can downstream sensors induce a major power cut?
Checked all the plug wires, they are seated properly.. Took out the maf and cleaned it... Turned car back on, CEL is off... I didn't clear though and went for a drive no issues, full power and no power cuts... I also data logged the drive and there was no knock retard events...
What is the best way to check for a cracked spark plug?
