This engine was extremely clean and only the rings lining up was an indication of trouble. I'm sure if it didn't start to smoke when running it would have certainly FAILED a leak down test. I knew after replacing the blown headgasket and when starting it up and seeing the smoke in the shop and fouled 2 plugs on the passenger side....it was done. I'll post up a video once it's all together in a week.
Back to the shop for more work...good day everyone!

Rick, I am glad you have your son's to help you. My son could never get interested in cars. I even had a C1 and C2 and a new 86 when he was growing up.

Looking good. Can't wait to hear it running. (That means a video needs to be posted.) Lucky you have help. I had 2 girls so I'm on my own with whatever needs attention. Grandson is only 19 months old so I'll need to wait a few years for him.
