Default New C5 Owner

I just purchased a C5 about a month and a half ago. I work at a car dealership and we took this one in on trade. 28,000 miles and had never seen rain before I bought it. It has ceramic coated headers, Corsa exhaust, and Z06 rims, but other than that is stock. What a joy to drive. I drive 30 miles one way to work each day, and can't wait to get in the car for the drive. I owned a '71 with a small block 350 back in the 80's, but I'm amazed with the C5 in every way. Comfort, balance, ride, performance and fun. I've already gotten a lot of useful information here. The knowledge floating around here is astounding, and there are a lot of really nice Vettes!

Somebody really took care of that thing, it's cleaner under the hood than my car outside. Enjoy, drive it in the rain!

I took this while it was being checked out after we took it in. Clean. I got a great deal, and couldn't pass it up. I didn't really have any intention of getting another Vette, but I'm so glad I did. Love this car.

Might want to update a little info in your profile about the car like year, mods, manual or auto etc... That way when/if you ask for some help with an issue on the car we have some info to go on...... Despite the thinking of some, just cause they all look alike, they are not all the same. There are MANY mechanical/electrical differences across the years.
Thanks for the heads up! I'll do it right now.

Great looking 03. Same car that I have except mine has the light oak interior. Enjoy!

This may seem a little narrow minded, but whoever traded that car in was an idiot or high on something! I have never seen that exact color combination before, great catch on your part.

It's a very rare color combo, which is one of the things I like most about the car. A guy at work called it "Superman". The guy who trade it in also traded in a 2008 Mercedes CL550 with 18,000 miles on it. (One of my managers bought it before it went on the lot). The guy bought a Jazz Blue SRT 392 Charger. I've talked to him several times since he traded the Vette, and he kind of regrets it. His garage is like a museum. He gave me a bunch of stuff with the car including black floor mats for daily driving. He strongly instructed me that the red mats are ONLY for car shows.

Since its a manual, find out from the previous owner if he installed the column lock LMC5 bypass fix. If not that would be the first thing to do. Then get a skip shift bypass for defeating the annoying 1-4 shift lockout.

I've had our '03 manual vert for almost 10yr and its been best car ever owned as far as problems. We are just now turning 50K mi, and still on original brake pads/rotors
