My house is in the back end of six acres , with 450 acres of Montcalm National Forest behind me. Driveway is 610 feet long through the woods, very very quiet and I love it !!!
Beautiful! Perfect spot! Love the wildlife! I had a log cabin Al built in Massachusetts on top of a mountain. Dirt road and 9 other logs cabins scattered down the road throughout the woods. We had bear, coyote, timber wolves, etc. Wasn't a good thing for my cats though.... Everyone visited on 4-wheelers! Neighbor had the tractor so he plowed everyone out. It was great! Now I've got neighbors close enough to see them on porch. Hate it! I would take the privacy of the woods any day! I'm jealous now!
P.S. Finally got the replacement bumper Monday! Still has the same small opening for the turn signals....smh. I know the OEM would be easier but I so love the look of this bumper.

Pounder - who plows your driveway? Can you even find it under a foot of snow? Can you get through that with only a front wheel drive car? No hills I guess,
I lived in Iowa and Michigan for 2 years, then NJ for 29 years and all those winters and snowstorms, and I'd rather put up with the rare tropical storm or hurricane and the damage and havoc it can create, rather than endure that for 5 months a year. I always had to have some 4x4, either a Jeep or Suburban, and even a Desert Storm Hummer to be able to travel and get to work. It was fun back then but I don't miss that now.
Here's a pic of 2 feet of snow, and the Florida equivalent.
Yes, I think I have. Narrowed down to two shops both well respected, highly recommended and professional!! Even just found a great mechanic through referrals from my local corvette club. He's owned his own vettes, and is also performance certified!! Yippee!! lol
So how many of you Southern girls & boys get a taste of Michigan weather ???
Well damn Pounder, I think you sent some of that "up north" weather to East Texas overnight! Got up this morning and its 18 freakin degrees out there! Bright blue sky, but man, y'all can keep this stuff all to yourself. Just checked the weather and its supposed to be back in the 70's Tues/Wed. Go figure! Take care!
