Side trim piece

How come some c5's have the mid door side trim and others dont?

Body Side Molding .... It was an option to protect the side of your car from door dings.

They're called "Body Side Moldings" (BSMs). The reason some have them and some don't is because they were an option.

Are referring to the color-matched body side moldings? If so they were an extra cost option.

Some C-5s don't have them because the owners remove them.
I've removed three sets off the three C-5s I've owned.

The body side moldings seem to be a love it or hate it option on the cars. I've never had a C5 with them on the car, but I can honestly say I do not dislike them to the point where I would take them off a car that had them on it.

Can you purchase them if your C5 doesnt have them? Mine doesnt have them on the doors, but I sure do think they look nice when I see a C5 with them on...

Are they stuck on with 3M or a bolt on/drilled?
