Default C5 convertible lowering help

The button to release the top boot only CLICKS when pushed. The top will not release from boot. I am trying to lower the top. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for ANY help. Art

Have you followed the procedures for lowering the top in your Owners Manual? Just asking.

Make sure your trunk is completely closed

Thanks for your speedy reply. Double checked the manual and was following the procedure correctly. The problem I had was that I was NOT lifting the front of the top up high enough to release the back of the top and also the back seal was sticking tightly. All is well now, thanks again for help. Art

Did you try to use the manual trip? This is a wire that is connected to mechanism that released the lid. It should be visible but may be tucked in back of the seats after the divider. I use this to release my top all the time.

Did not need the trip wire. The button worked just fine after I had the top up. Thanks for your reply. Art
