Wish you speedy recovery, and I know the therapy you are getting will help, just bite the bullet, pain with get less and less has time goes by, and be back in the Corvette again, pain free.
Fell on the ice a couple of days ago, landed on my left elbow and that drove my arm up into the shoulder. I have had rotator cuff problems for years from a work accident and did a few months of PT to get it liveable, but now I'm sure that I will need surgery. Next week I will set up for an MRI. I want to get it right before spring so I can drive my manual. Didn't expect to get all this advice on the Corvette forum, but big thanks for all the info.
Good luck to you Bob, that's what lead me here years of wear and tear and that's why I also did the surgery now, want to be up and running by the car show season.
Hopefully you guys getting surgery are married or have someone that lives with you. I am single and after three days, I wanted to shoot myself. (not really) You really can't understand how people with handicaps deal with everyday life, until you have to. With my share of pain and limitations the one thing that really drives me is many more people have it worst than you !!!
From: Dear Karma, I have a list of people you missed.

That's really the best way to look at things. Make the best of things and move on.

So true. My wife of 36 years has helped me through two spinal surgeries, and I've helped her through about 8 varied surgeries of her own. I only have about 25% range of motion left in my neck, but it beats the hell out of what she's gone through with Crohns.
