Default anyone know this car?

I see its been painted and at one point and had trouble passing emissions. Carfax doesn't show a wreck, but the paint job worries me still. It does seem like a good deal but its been for sale for a while. Does anyone have any opinions on it. I tried to get the carfax formatted to be easier to read, but its not great, sorry. Thanks for any help.

I see the link doesn't work. I'll try to fix it in a bit but if anyone cares to look for it, it's a black z06 at bolt Motorsports in Texas. BoltMotorsports.com.

Well it's certain that it's been tracked, no guessing there. That might concern me more than the paint job. But it looks clean in the pics. Certainly worth consideration at that price.

BTW, guess you are a Primus fan. That's cool......

I have seen that car a few times in the DFW area. The pics make it look much better than in person lol. Price seems fair. Weird there is no radio in it.

Price seems good for a Z, color change is a big "why", although I do love black. Personally, I would never buy/invest in a car that has been used as a track car, very "iffy" in my opinion, just my 2 cents for what its worth. Good luck and best wishes!

The only thing I would be concerned about a paint job is from the pictures it looks like it needs some work and color correction. It likely wasn't repainted due to an accident; probably the owner just didn't care for millennium yellow (which is a shame, 'cause that color looks so good on a Z06). If ultimately concerned I'd try to get the car on a lift.

Emission issues are not uncommon on a C5 considering their age. If you're looking at vehicles that have lived in states where emissions need to be passed expect to see more than one occurrence of emissions passing issues on the vehicle's report. Youngest C5 is now approaching 13 years old.

That car has likely seen some light track days. Brembos with slots would help the braking out tremendously and a harness bar going through the heavier sport seats (seems like a dedicated track seat would have been a better choice). probably not uncommon in a place like Texas where public accessible tracks are plentiful. The radio removal is concerning only because the car has Bose and the owner may have had some difficulty with a head unit that wasn't properly wired in to properly utilize the Bose setup; there's adapters specifically for it.

I don't think you would be happy with this Corvette whatever the out come is . I am seeing more and more low mileage C-5 Zs coming on the market for around the same price .. Keep looking .

Thanks for the input. Many of you echoed some of the same concerns that I had, but I've been wondering if maybe I'm getting a bit paranoid. It just stinks that so many of these cars are so far away form me. There are a couple at wholesale dealers in NJ that seem reasonable, but of course they have no idea of the car's history and I just get a bad feeling about the sales people. There are 2 on Long Island, but have higher miles, want more money, and both have some issues.

Oh, and I think I've seen Primus about 30 times by now. Just saw their friend Buckethead a couple months ago. If you are into instrumental guitar, check him out. Weird, but insanely good.
