99 C5 Telescoping Steering Column
Have a 99 C5 6-speed with the telescoping steering column. Instrument cluster replaced due to faulty DIC display. All ok. However, when depressing telescoping column button to retract wheel, hear a slight bump and maybe see wheel move 1/32 of inch-maybe. When button pressed to extend wheel, no sound or movement at all. Have removed drivers seat and inspected wires and seat control module. Nothing obviously bad there. Installed new battery, but car seems to draw lot of power over short time before its below the line. Any suggestions as to what to look for? Wonder if telescoping actuator motor is faulty or drive cable bad. Any ideas appreciated.
