Hopefully, the Tech2 won't take a swan dive like their customer service did in this case.
Best regards

For the record I hate marketing crap, just give me the best deal you can and keep the hoops away from me, "order in the next ten minuets and get two for the price of one" just pay for seperate shipping and "handling"
whatever

Anyway, I left them some unsatisfied feedback... not that it will show up anywhere on their site.

I'll report back with how the product looks and works when I get it.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

All in all, it does what it's supposed to. I plugged it in, it communicates fine, and I even cancelled out the TPMS that was pissing me off at start up. I'm installing steel braided lines, and I'm painting my calipers, so I'll be able to get the whole bleed procedure done when I'm ready.
Quality-wise, the unit feels sturdy enough, and the cables are of decent quality. They cut the corners where the connectors are concerned though. The pins are on the cheap side, and care needs to be exercised when plugging into the unit, or the OBD adapter. Even before I started, I needed to correct the tips on a couple of pins, or else they would have been damaged beyond repair if forced into place. Here are the pins I'm talking about;
As you can see, the tips have a split in them for friction connection. Unfortunately, the splits were a bit too wide on a couple of pins, and they hung on the edge of the holes. Like I said, nothing a pair of small pliers couldn't fix.
I'm assuming that more corners have been cut insofar as the internal are concerned, as such, I wouldn't recommend these units for active shop use. But, for a weekend duffer like me, that just enjoys noodling with his Vette, it's just fine.
As for a case, I read several dissatisfied comments where the molded plastic case was concerned. Wandering through Walmart the other day, I found a decent solution...
I then drifted over to the crafts section, and picked up some 3/4", 2", and 3" foam.
I got rid of the pouch panel, and supporting tabs, as well as the upper strap that holds it. I laid down the 3/4" foam first.
Then the 3" over top. It comes up flush to the edge. I then laid out the pieces, and with a really sharp knife, cut around each section, and removed the 3" blocks. Everything fits in quite nicely.
The 2" foam sits in the lid, and come flush to the edge.
There you go. Snug as a bug in a rug. Not that bugs in your rug are desireable.... well.... you get the jist.

I went a different route for a case (just so you know) with a Dewalt case from Amazon !!(just another option)
I have replaced the foam here with this, much nicer !!

Yup, that works too. I actually saw your kit in another thread. That inspired me to go my own route for a case. The shipping for the hard case kit was $70 more, but the case and foam was about $30, so that puts me about $40 ahead I guess.
