The best headlights for a C5 are from a member on here. He sells them as complete kits. Just Google "RadioFlyer Corvette" and check out the options on his website. Very good businessman. Many, many members on here order from him (myself included).

I had the Nite Lux brand of LED headlights installed at Malibu's in Moore (for you Okies). Wow, are they bright, lights up the whole road and on each side too. Lifespan is 50K hrs. I have LED everything now except rear marker lights, it really makes a huge difference. The old lights were dim compared to these.

LED "bulbs" in stock housings just throw glare everywhere, and you'll be that idiot blinding everyone on the road, no different from people who stick HIDs in stock housings or those that run with highbeams on. Adjust it down to reduce glare, and you end up with too much foreground light compromising your long distance vision. For more information, look up Daniel Stern Lighting.
Pros: Possibly brighter?
Cons: Glare. Improper light distribution. Compromised visibility.
The cheap route for brighter lights would be putting in 9011 and 9012 bulbs. These are HIR halogen bulbs, which have a coating on the bulb that reflects infrared light back onto the filament, making it hotter and giving off more light for the same wattage. The more expensive route is to do a HID retrofit in one of the aftermarket housings, or buy a retrofitted housing from Radioflyer.
