I am still stock on my C5, but I Power Stop drilled, slotted, and cryo-frozen on my F350 Dually tow rig, and they are great products.

I have them on my 02. Huge difference in stopping power and no fade upon heavy breaking. These were my first mod along with caliper covers. Do it!

Happy with mine, better stopping power with matching ceramic pads. But I got slotted only.

carbon ferous pad material is the original OEM compound, and it's what I use....Ceramic is just hype, and no pads are designed specifically for a specific rotor... all rotors are cast iron, the only difference is thickness diameter, and internal cooling vane design. Some have cooling holes and some have scrubbing slots, and some have both.

Of course there are composite rotors but they are in the 3000 dollar range.

I have light weight 2 piece rotors 14 inch. They are 14 years old and still looking like new. Using carbon ferous OEM soft pads will increase, longevity of the rotors , increase the coefficient of friction, ( better stopping )and reduce fade due to heat soak. I use OEM pads.
I know a few things because I have seen a few things

Brake motive and power stop both seem to get favorable reviews.

I have used Power Stops on my Monte SS and my Vette, no issues at all. Both cars I bought the complete kits and very little brake dust as well.

Bill knows his stuff when it comes to the c5!

+1 on the oem pads. They are relatively inexpensive and provide good braking. Someone on here somewhere said that the best brake pads for performance driving are the cheapest ones you can get because you can eat them up and not be out a bunch of money.

I have the brake motive drilled and slotted brake kit, and it's pretty good. Can't really compare it to the factory setup because my factory setup was garbage when I got the car. But I have had the brake motive kit on my 04 for almost 2 years of daily driving, and i haven't had a single issue. Car stops well, and there is no squeal at all.

Just make sure that you take the time to hit the slide pins and bolts with a wire wheel to clean them up, and lube the slide pins very well. Also wouldn't hurt to pick up a set of e-brake shoes and replace them while you've got the rear rotors off.

Looking at these also for my C5 with centric pads, Corvette World in Dallas recommended them.

I'd recommend to check the big auction site, I just bought Baer rotors for 100 cheaper than summit from there.
