Default Radiator Hoses

Hey guys,
I'm a new member here and this is my first 'Vette. My question is: I was looking around engine compartment dress up and I wanted some silicon radiator hoses, the c5 hoses are ~$120 and the c4 hoses are ~45. They look pretty similar, would the c4 hoses work for my c5? TIA.

Unless you are positive that the hoses are the right length, bent the right way, etc., I would be leery of using something that is not designed for the specific model. That's just me. Others can chime in.

Different motor + different chassis = highly doubtful IMO

I'm wondering if it's worth the gamble for the cost difference.

In my experience:
The blue ones are good for 20 rear wheel h.p.
Red ones worth 25.
YMMV

Sorry, but I can't help myself.

Classic. While at it, it wouldn't hurt to replace the muffler belt.

On a serious note, I am interested, too in what the opinion on silicone hoses is.

I've had blue silicon hoses on my car for several years in the Tucson hot weather. They work. Not sure it would make any difference over stock hoses other than they are blue. I like that I recently learned that I picked up 20hp though.

Thanks, I may go with red. I'm (2nd owner) on my original hoses, 52k miles now, and was thinking about changing everything.
