Default 2002 c5 ls1
Did the 2002 LS1's have any issues with valve spring failures? How about the ignition lockout problem?

Haven't heard of any LS1 valve spring issues. And if your car is a manual tranny, then yes, it can still have the column lock issue. An LMC5 install would be recommended.

I think the 2002 LS6 did have problems but the LS1 did not.
Yep, all C5s are prone to the column lock problem.
