Just picked up an 02 Coupe with 59k its all stock and running great. I check the VIN and it was built in Feb 2002, which puts it in the danger zone. I was thinking of swapping to ls6 springs since they are so cheap. Anyone know what the general labor rate runs? Should I swap rocker arms while I'm in there? Any good Vette mechanics in the Pittsburgh area?
Thanks in advance
When I bought my 2002 Z06 three years ago I decided to change the valve springs for peace of mind. I called the local dealership and was quoted $1,100. I told them I was not looking for gold plated valve springs.
I found a great Corvette mechanic who changed the springs, the valve seals, the gaskets, spark plugs and wires. Total: $400.
