Default I got mine!

just picked it up today... well, actually, the seller drove it up to me today (super-nice guy)... '04 Z06... one owner... 8600 miles... immaculate condition... documented service history... new tires... new battery... column lock bypass & skip-shift eliminator already done. He had the factory wheels chromed... windows tinted... shorty antenna... that's about it for mods. Lowered on stock bolts. Other than the fact that the front scrapes on EVERYTHING, I'm digging it so far! Luckily has the rollers up front (not very pretty, but functional) & the rub rails to protect the rockers.

Congrats! That's an almost identical situation to January for me. I bought my 2002 Torch Red Z06 with 8600 miles on it. Now go rack up some miles! We're almost up to 10k miles on ours now, when the Oregon weather let's us get it out.

Congrats, welcome aboard.

'Rub rails' to protect the rockers? You mean the BSM's? Some like, some, not so much, and remove ( like myself ). Rocker panels are a bit lower.

I think he is talking about the frame rail mounted protectors which would be rocker protectors.

OP - Congrats on your new purchase!

Wow that's really low miles for an 04, looks great! Get out there and start adding some miles, and let the mods begin! Congrats

A good 'trunk partition' will really help with the exhaust noise.
3M 'clear bra' is your friend, had it on all my cars.

I kinda like the chromies... durable... easy to clean... and a little bling to set it apart. My Cobra was the same way... mirror-polished rims... chrome hoop bumpers & overriders... but all business under the hood. Know chrome's not everyone's thang... just as black wheels aren't mine. To each his own!

I like it, ordering chrome wheels for my lemans blue z06 Monday, personally i think lowering these cars is wrong, I love mostly stock cars they sit plenty low and not everything needs lowered.

I guess it all boils down to personal tastes... I think it looks pretty good lowered, tho you have to be SOOOO careful & be constantly on the lookout for pavement imperfections. Will live with it a while before making any decisions. May raise it back up a little.

Love the LeMans blue... had looked at an '04 CE a few weeks earlier (and made an offer on it), but he sold it- apparently, to a higher bidder. Was quite smitten with the polished OE rims... very sharp.
