Default New Member Feedback

Being a new member, I apologize for sounding like a broken record, or maybe I should say broken CD, DVD or Flash Drive, but I am overwhelmed with the feedback from Forum members to questions I have posed. There's so much crap on the internet, there's a lot of misinformation out there, but Corvette Forum is the real deal. Thank you all!

One thing I'm curious about is, are many of you also members of a local Corvette club?

Welcome and glad to hear of your positive experience here.

I agree that this forum is a wealth of knowledge. I've kept everything in my car functional thanks to this site.

No. I'm not a member of a local Corvette club.

Welcome aboard Barry!

Local club - no.

Even if you are not a DIY person like me, the information in this forum gives me knowledge of issues that I can discuss with tech guys when something does go wrong and needs fixing.

There is a local club but no I do not belong. To many "must do's" to become and stay a member.

I'm not exactly an old veteran of the forum,, been here about a year. The C5 forum is terrific, extremely helpful with members willing to jump in with info on just about any C5 issue you can think of. Lots of humorous and light hearted bantering mixed in with the the information, sometimes some pretty wicked sniping, but overall, a great and enjoyable source. I usually take a look daily for the knowlege offered up and also the entertainment factor. Hope you continue to enjoy it as I do. Take care!

First and foremost welcome. I have used this forum on many occasions to help with my DIY projects. It has been a great experience thus far and I expect the same in the coming years.

As far as being a member of a local Corvette Club I am not, but that doesn't mean I won't attend Corvette only functions. With that being said, if you are new to Corvettes or just getting into the automotive hobby then Corvette Clubs should be something to consider. Connecting with other like minded people in the automotive world turns the hobby into an joyous adventure.

Glad you are enjoying the forum and are benefiting from the information that is available here. Plenty of helpful people that can help you with just about anything on the car.

I do belong to a local Corvette club, but am not very active in it. It is a very informal one (no regular meetings) that does a lot of cruises to restaurants, wineries, etc.

Yes, The forum has been very helpful. What I like about it also if you ask a question thru private message for something wrong or doing a modify to your car with someone. It seems that everyone is willing to help you on what you want to do to your car.

Welcome Barry
I guess the Corvette Forum is the Corvette Club that I belong to. A lot of knowledgeable helpful members, many who have become friends over the years and easy access to great DIY links & Threads, just use the search feature or ask for help.

Thanks for your response! Are my questions going out as private messages or for all to see? I was just wanting to share with everyone, but not sure if I am doing it correctly. Barry

Your posts are fine. Z06 Cracker means that if you want to ask someone a question without starting a thread, you can send someone a PM (Personal Message) and they will always respond back. Everyone here is friendly and willing to help, share information or just talk cars.

Your welcome,

No, the one close by is a do nothing group... and most are real old.

The other two are to far away to participate with.

Yes, I'm in a local Corvette club. It's fun for social gatherings, drives and friendships. But I learn the most about Vettes right here at the CF!

Welcome to the forum.

I don't belong to any local clubs, but being a member of the National Corvette Museum and the CorvetteForum as some form of a much larger club. The wealth of knowledge and willingness of many members to help one another on this forum is amazing

I wholeheartedly agree! Having only been a CorvetteForum member for a little over a week, it doesn't take long to recognize and appreciate the fine folks here. This is my Corvette club, period! I know I have a long learning curve ahead of me as this is my first Corvette, but am most confident that the wonderful members here have my back...so comforting as I am not mechanically inclined beyond the most basic knowledge. I was so fortunate to find CorvetteForum. Thank you. Thank you!
