Default New Tires

I'm looking to replace tires on my 04 vert. I want to go 1 size wider, front and rear with Conti's extreme contact sport DW's, like I had on my 99, they were great tires I thought, but are now discontinued. I would like to get 255/45-17 for the front and 285/40-18 for the rear. I really don't like the looks of low profile tires, that's why these worked well. Any suggestions?

I just bought a set of the Toyo T1 Sports that just came back out. I got mine mounted and balanced shipped to my door on knock off Z06 wheels but I just checked and they make the sizes your after as well. It is hard to compare old and new tires, very few of us get to drive various new tire sets back to back but I think these drive and feel great in my opinion. I have nearly new standard size tires on my 2001 convertible with the Good Year F1 SC tires and I think they have a similar feel and look. Very happy with this purchase. I too dislike the concept of low profile tires as I have no purpose for the design and prefer to go in the direction of ride quality. Miles of smiles.

Ray, the Contis are not discontinued. They have been superseded by an improved version of the same tires, which are now available.

Correct, but, tire rack said the 285/40-18 are backordered 4 to 6 weeks.
