Default C7 Z51 Wheels on a C5

I have read many threads on this topic, and called Doug Rippie to inquire as well. However, I am still unclear the path forward. I understand I will need a spacer to get the rear wheels to fit. But what size? Doug Rippie said I could just put some washers on first and see what size I like best.

I can see the wisdom in that.

I have also heard an adapter might work, but recommendations are for at least 1 inch, as any less than that may not be safe. Thoughts on how a 1 inch adapter would look/work? Thoughts on how a 1/4 inch spacer without switching the studs out would look/work?

Thx

Hello if you use an adapter this type is the kind to use as it has studs in it.
