one thing is fer sure... instead of bobbling on the fence I think I'm leaning to the two toned side after a lot of pondering and searching... now I just need to decide on the 'pattern'... I still need some decisions as to what the pattern would be... there may be a two toned pattern I haven't seen yet that works with the shale interior the 2003 50th Anniversary and 2004 CE Vettes have.
back to searching for the options, I am wearing Goggle out!

I love the two tone. I have not been posting for a long time, but had to share this pic. Matt came all the way to Ohio to visit, deliver and install my seats from VE. I am so glad they are still going strong. It was Feb. 2008. Fantastic company!

You had asked for pics of my Vette Essentials seats so here they are. The first pic is my current car, the second is the '00 I had.

yes, and thank you those pics, definitely a classy choice
ok, stupid question... the steering wheel skin... I assume the entire steering wheel gets removed and shipped off to be recovered, right?
if so, did you remove it or did Matt make a house call?
I've always wondered how those got skinned...
OK... I never researched it but VE had the info (doh! never looked it up before). So you must have taken it to a shop, they pulled it off and you sent it in for the upgrade and you had the shop install the new\improved wheel. Can I ask what you had to pay for the removal\reinstall process?

You are correct in that I took the Vette to the dealer we bought it from. I was fortunate enough for VE to send me the steering wheel reskinned the color I wanted. That way I was able to make just one trip to the dealer to have mine removed, and the new one installed. They have the proper tools to do it. They were going to charge me an hour of like $150 at the time. But only paid half of that since it took them no time at all. Course, this was 2008. Not sure what the rates are now. Then I sent Matt my steering wheel back to keep and use for someone else to be reskinned to their liking.

Definitely
do what he says , particularly with the miles on the seats. Then you will have a seat superior to OEM for 40 bucks more. 2 tone looks awesome unless you are wed to stock on a CE. Ithink Southercar parts has new foam and jute pad for $40.

I used Interior Innovations, and I'm completely satisfied. The leather and construction are terrific. I also vote for tutone. I don't have a good pic of my seats in the car because as soon as I got done I took out the radio bezel! So here's a comparison vs stock:

I have 2 tone (red and black) on my C5. No fade and excellent work by Al Knoch. I have had them for 5 years, at least. Highly recommend the quality and service.

No, I did not have to send my steering wheel in first. I called up VE, told them what I wanted, they did the work on a core they had in stock, then they shipped the modified steering wheel to me. I took the car to my local dealer, they removed the original steering wheel, swapped over the VE wheel, then I sent the original steering wheel back to VE as a core return. Simple and efficient.
