I'm trying to find the same brand tires in 255/45-17 fronts and 285/40-18 rears with no luck. Tire rack is back ordered 60 to 90 days for the rears in Conti's and that's the only combo in that size. If anyone has a source to a tire company that would have these tires it would be greatly appreciated, otherwise I will no choice but to go with the oem sizes.
Seems like the only thing different is that you want 285's in the rear? Did you look at tires you like on Tirerack and then click on the specs area where all the sizes are listed? I'm sure there are alternatives.
you can Hankook Ventus V12 in 255x40x17 and 285x35x18 - same revs per mile as the stock size - little lower profile and they will fit on the stock wheels $588 for a set of 4
There are other combos out there. What if you did the full c5Z06 sizes? FYI, I had a c5z, but the stock rims were designed fir the 265/295 combo. Maybe someone else knows if they will fit stock coupe sizes.

I still have some time to decide since its still snowing in MI. I like the Nitto's, they have good reviews. If not, i'll probably go with OEM size and try to find a tire with a little wider profile. I have a 2004 vert that I bought last spring with 9k on it with original tires, and they ride like rocks, so it's time!
Thanks for your help
