I have a 1998 and just got new transmission gasket filter and new fluids the reason why was I had a leak when I started car and when going in revers out of garage there would be line of transmission fluid but know the same thing is happening can someone help me on what it could be
In my stage 2 trans (auto), right after I got it, I had the same thing happen. Turns out there was a little vent line that pushes out the excess trans fluid if there is too much. Since there is no dip stick for the tranny, you just kind "eyeball" it with the knowledge of how much fluid actually goes in. Mine just had too much, and it was pushed out. It stopped after a few start ups and a few drives. But if it would never be a bad idea to take it to some shops who have experience with the trans axels in the vettes.
thanks guys for the information I'll look more into it on what you guys said I definitely am bringing car back to place where I got done just incase it's there screw up I put a lot of money into this car already mechanically just thought that this last fix was it for machanical work I'll let you guys no on the outcome thanks again
Your overflow was it on drivers side and did once you moved car or did it leak sitting with car off parked mine leaks once I stet to move since it was fixed I only put about 10 miles the most warm days it's three drips cold days is where I get sstreak pulling out
A shop inspected my trans. fluid level and condition in the fall at my request (since the last time it was checked that I'm aware of is 2010--when a Chevy dealer replaced trans. fluid per the CarFax). For the next 5-6 start-ups before I garaged the car for the winter, a few drops (maybe a half tablespoon?) of trans fluid would drip on the concrete, but after the initial drip each time, it would "hold". I've started it up in the garage 5-6 times this winter without moving it and didn't notice any dripping. Talked with my Corvette shop and they said lots of C5s develop seal issues causing trans. fluid leaks. It may be that...? I'm taking mine to be repaired soon.

this car is killing me had no problem with my 85 I just sold
Looks kinda like what I had, but like said before, just watch it to the best as possible. Maybe even get under it yourself and clean it up and look around.

Mine had a puddle and had a few lines, but weren't that long, and also I couldn't account for it everyday due to it being the race car in the family lol
