ok I have 1998 just got about month half ago been in and out of shop with mechanical stuff now that I have the car starting to see wires rather not going to any thing and the wires that go to the interior lights when you open hatch were taped but tape coming off look like might have started to melt I have pics of the one wire harness on passenger side in back connected to the light wires
This car is turning out to be a nightmare put money into a lot of mechanical work which I still have a leak only had this car 1 month in half I starting to miss my 85 I sold to get this

did the wires get pulled out of the connector?... if that's the case you could get new terminals and crimp those on and reinstall the wires into the connector... if they got cut in half and there is still enough wire in the connector you could solder them back together and use heatshrink to seal them... caspers electronics, efi connection, and waytek wire are good sources for the correct terminals and you can get a set of metripack/weatherpack crimpers on amazon for about $20
