Okay I have looked at a bunch of threads on this and I am still confused. Car went into garage at beginning of winter running fine. I pulled car out of garage a few times during winter and it ran fine the last time I pulled it out forgot to disconnect battery. Went to start car yesterday and it was dead put battery charger on for a hour and it started but I had the dreaded service steering column on display proceeded by remove key for 10 seconds. I then tried to move it and it was doing the 1.5mph stall thing. Pulled battery tested it and it was toast. Bought a Odessy pc1500dt checked it before installing it read 12.5 put it in car and same thing. I guess my question is where do I start can I just tune the fuel shut off higher or is there something else I should try. Car has had all recalls on steering column done I believe 3 in total. Any help would be great.
Google LMC5 Compliance Parts.
The factory recalls will not fix the issue, the LMC5 will.
If you need any assistance with the install you can call Richard, but it comes with good instructions, and there is also an installation video on you tube.

Low voltage can cause the Column lock to engage. It's important on C5's if they sit for just few days that you have a smart charger on it, I use Cytek's, get them at Amazon.

So it was a beautiful day out last Friday and I'm driving the Vette around town, I stopped pick up a friend and decide to go to my place to get a few things. I put the key in and .. pull key wait 10 sec .. then service column lock. The Vette is dead right in the driveway. Lady Luck was on my side. I could have been anywhere else that day but thankfully I was in my own driveway. I had no idea what was going on or what to do but thanks to this forum Its now fixed. I ordered the LMC5 that day and installed it on Monday with no problems. Thank you Corvette Forum
My lmc5 came today took me about half an hour to install hooked battery up saw dreaded pull key message which I did waited 10 second put key in no more message car started right up and moved again. Have pulled key and started car about 20 times now with no issues. Thanks everyone for your help. Richard was great to deal with and took time to explain things.
