Default Side Skirts

Just ordered the ZR1 Side Skirts
Would like to see your Side Skirts
Do I need to screw them down?
or is the double sided tape that strong?

I really don't mean to be a smart ....., but aren't those questions you ask before you order the side skirts?

I added my skirts two years ago..........once you start fitting then you will quickly see that you need to screw them in. I would always tape if I could but you really need screws.

I worried about having holes but there are not that many and if the skirts are removed merely put screws in the holes to plug them up.

LOL, yea probably, but I've been wanting them for a while now and decided to go for it. I figure if I can't do it I'll get someone who can.
Love the look so hope mine will enhance my look as well.

Sweet Ride Ricky,
would like to see others as well...
Thanks Guys

You will need a second person to keep everything straight and tight but otherwise you can screw them in yourself. By the way get body shop screws with a hex head that you can put on with a ratchet drive. Much easier. I don't remember fully but you only need about 10 screws or so.

Test fit everything first.

Does your foot catch on the side skirt getting in and out of the car?
Nice car, the side skirt just adds that little extra flair

Not ZR1 skirts but all skirts are probably mounted the same way. I used tape to help ensure the fitment was good against the body (where the eye can see) and screws in the bottom to ensure it wouldn't get knocked off (a screw in stock location, 1 up front and 1 at the rear, then two equidistant from those).

I dig them.

All those side skirts look great. Info on where they were purchased will be appreciated.

I have side skirts I purchased from C5West on e-bay. The price was very reasonable, the quality was pretty good and the finish of the fiberglass is good so that I wound up doing a trial installation and left them on without painting them. Just some detail spray and they have a nice smooth matte black finish. I never could decide which finish I would prefer so I tried wrapping them first in red and leaving them black against the red of the car. As it turns out, I occasionally hit them with my feet getting in and out, so that helped me decide to leave them unpainted.
