C5 Convertible Full Top Swap
Just wanted to share my experience with a full convertible top replacement. You do need two people to do the swap.With my son's help we had the top swapped out in about 20 min. Removing the seat belt was quick and easy. The I removed the lock pillar trim. Only one screw on the side and a small plastic pin you can get at with the door open. Next I used a sharp pointed tool to scribe around the top bracket before removing it. Three bolts on each side. You can get at two of them with the top down. You will have to put the top up to access the third bolt.We unplugged the wires on each side and them lifted the old top out. The new top slid right in and rested on the pin that is present on each side. We aligned the bracket on each side and then tightened down the bolts. All in all a quick job and not to difficult if you have two people. Hope this helps someone looking to do the same job.
