So, did a few projects on the 99 vert this winter. Put a new interior (Seats, shift boot, brake boot, and center console) in as well as a new top. I thought I was done but, Red decided she needed a little more work. Her oil pressure went off scale high on both the DIC and the instrument cluster. Since I read about the issue in the forum, I knew it was the sensor.
I decided to relocate the sensor under the fuel rail cover. DPE Corvettes sells a kit with or without a direct reading gage; I bought the one with the gage. They provided a good set of instructions and the install went well. Having to pull the intake manifold is a pain but, it isn't that bad. Start to finish it took me about 2 hours. Note, don't forget the tiny line that goes to the MAF sensor on the back of the intake...trust me.
It's all back together with no leaks and good oil pressure indications. Thanks again to the forum. I only knew about the issue and how to fix it because of you guys.
