I have opportunity to purchase a 2002 with 179K miles ..nice wheel & tires- paint will need to be redone
no issues I see as interior is mid condition...scanned it and was clean.. maybe a small leak in oil pan..
Price -$4800 good deal or fair deal.?

I had a 99 convertible. Great car until the wiring and the computers started to give me problems. Fixed everything and sold it. I went back to a C3.
I'd put the question in the C5 section, but for me, that seems like a pretty good price, considering a good C4 will go for more than that...those miles seem high but those motors will go for a while without too much problem, that is unless it was beat to heck...
Hi p,
Welcome!
First post!!!!
You posted in the 68-82 forum. Did you intend to?
Maybe a post in the forum for 2002 cars would get you more replies about the car you're considering!
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan
179,000 miles would scare me. I'd spend more for a car with fewer miles.
The mileage is high but if it was properly maintained that is a good deal. The oil leak may be from the oil pressure sending unit, a common problem. By 2002 they corrected many of the early C5 concerns. Personally I'd worry most about clutch or transmissions since the engines are well designed for longevity (unless performance mods are made).
