Serv Tire Mon Sys Question
So my new C5 has this error popping up so I searched the forum and found how to reprogram the system with a magnet. On three of the four wheels I got the horn beep, one did not....should I assume a bad sensor...I also have tire pressure readings in those three now

I replaced all of my sensors 4 years ago and one of them died over winter storage. I tried several times to reprogram, but it would not. Bought a new one on Amazon, removed tire, took it to tire shop and they replaced it for 15 bucks. They are all working again.

When you get a new one, reprogram it before you take it to the tire shop and install it in the tire to make sure they are all working. How old are your sensors? If they are original then all of them will probably die soon.

No idea how old they are, just got the car Friday last week

They seem to last 10 to 15 years. You can just get one and take a chance and wait until you get new tires to replace the rest. What year is your car? OEM units are made by Schrader and you can get those for new C5s for 30 bucks a piece. Sensors for older C5s are more expensive

just bought my car recently and i get the same message - seems the previous owner kicked the sensors all to the curb. unless the styling is different on these than the cars i get at work, do the sensors have the rubber body sticking out of the wheel or are they the aluminum type?
either way i'm on the fence about repairing it. its another thing to break, but it would be kind of nice to know my pressures on the fly.
