Default Dual Climate Control issues 2000 Vette

Hi, I'm a first time user. I have a 2000 C5 convertible. Having issues with the Dual Climate Control unit. It won't let me turn the power off to the unit. Push the Power Off button and nothing happens. Only way to turn power off is pull the fuse !!!! The lights just stay on with the fresh air circulating mode shown on, along with the fan settings, which go up or down as normal. Also shows the fan speed and exterior temp. The other issue is when I turn the temp setting **** - nothing happens, and no numbers show up on the screen to adjust ??? There does not appear to be an LCD issue as all the other lights and numbers are fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hoping I don"t have to replace the whole unit... :-(

The only help I can offer is to pull the codes and see if that helps. Other than that, here is the lowest price I could find for a replacement.

Good Luck!

I had similar issues a few years ago and had to get a rebuilt unit.

Try Dave Ruberg, Winona MN. 507-429-4489. He fixed mine. The turn around time was very fast and cost was reasonable. The unit isn't hard to remove from the car. Instructions are on You Tube and more than likely on this site somewhere.

I would pull it out and spray it with a can of air and contact cleaner 1st.
