Default Interior refresh !

I finally got my disability approved after 3 years now of not being able to work so I used a lot of the lump sum back pay check to fix everything on my C5.

Everything I ordered is here now and only needs installed.....

2 new seats
console lid
2 new nut covers for inside console
New radio bezel
New knee bolster
New stereo
New targa top hold downs (for when it's in the rear of car)
New covers for the door panel bolts (behind inside door handle)
New sun visors
New mirror Radar detector mount & short wiring pigtail for mirror.
Got a new (used & working) BPMV & EBCM
Got a New Tech 2 scanner

I think thats all for now unless I forgot anything.

I will have my ABS / traction control / active handling back again!!
I will also have everything fixed in the interior like new, I am so stoked!!

Getting all those things fixed will certainly make you feel better about the car and make driving it more enjoyable. Congrats.

Well.........I had a BPMV ordered but now they said it's out of stock and I can't find another one (I ain't paying $2,000 for one) for a decent price. So I guess I'll keep suffering the dreaded lights on the gauge cluster.

This.

I've been cleaning up the interior of my ride for the last 6 months. Makes a TON of difference mentally. Not that you don't have enough there, but maybe some Lloyd's mats would be a nice add? I was very happy when I got mine after 12 years of the original mats.

Congrats!

Got it all done but had to settle for a couple things. Passenger seat was fine so I left it, Driver seat got a new recover. New console, radio bezel, ashtray, cigarette lighter, New targa hold downs in the rear, red LED interior lights (not in yet), new Radar detector holder on rear view mirror, new knee bolster, carpets cleaned, new headliner, New Tech 2 scanner (not interior but will come in handy) & got Red LED lights for the dash & gauges ordered. Also insulated the entire console area under the carpet and really seems to have cut the console heat to about zero!

Didn't get pictures yet of the finished product, will tomorrow & post. here is a few of it tore apart. Not much for taking pictures when I am in the middle of something...Sorry.

Center with the insulation installed

Another crappy shot of the insulation. Ain't pretty but it sure worked!

Passenger side carpet...at least behind the seat area...lol

Passenger side

Did you replace the factory climate control with the one in your car now.
The minute I saw it , I said atfermarket, and wondered why anyone would use an aftermarket when the stock units are readily available.

Just curious.

Bob.

He just doesn't have dual auto climate control. That's the manual basic unit. I envy him!

I am not much more than a supervisor and bank card....

If it wasn't for him helping it would have taken me probably a few months to do what little got done.

Took your remake as a jab and an insinuation. Believe me I would rather have my old job back and be working.

Here is the inside now without the duck taped torn seats, radio bezel broken in about 6 places, knee bolster held in place by what appeared to be hot glue & a console that isn't busted with the wrong lid.
Nothing fancy but everything works and is good again.

Default seat foam

Where did you get your foam replacement from if you don't mind me asking. I am on the hunt for a good price from my C5...Standard Seats unless sport foam will work with Standard seats? Thanks Lisa

I found a guy selling a set of sport seat covers on craigslist Phoenix and hooked up with him and aside from selling the covers cheap he also installed it for me on the drivers seat. Once we tore the seat apart we found out the foam was not in the greatest shape and he had some good laying around and gave it to me for free.

He was an awesome guy who knows his crap when it comes to seats and anything Corvette. I hear he is one hell of a detailer also!

I bet he is on this forum somewhere........

Bob, if your around here Thank You again buddy, I owe you huge.
The seat feels great again and looks even better.
