Location, location, location. It's what they say about real estate, also applies to cars. What is available in YOUR location is what counts as does local pricing. IF you are willing to travel and actually LOOK at a car and are prepared to walk away after spending time and $$$ to go look, then there are cheaper cars out there.
If this car checks all your boxes and is relatively close to you, then I say it's a fair deal. Not a great deal or one you can come on here and brag about how you got a screaming deal. Look, it appears to be nice example and fits your criteria. Would it be even better at $16K, of course, but how much time, money and effort are you willing to go find another car at $16K or possibly $15K? You'll spend at least $500 traveling out of state to get a car, so I say this local buy looks pretty good.
Go test drive it, look it over good. If it feels right, get it. Who cares what I or anybody else paid, you get no extra points for beating my deal. Enjoy your car!
There is always a better deal out there somewhere. More than likely the dealer will get his price, so if this is the car you want and it checks out are you going to let $500 keep you from getting it.

See what the dealer might be willing to throw in if he's firm on price. A few oil changes, differential fluid change, antifreeze...
I would say that the price seems a little high. I paid $17,400 this past February for my 03 Z06 with 45,000 miles. Bought from original owner - clean carfax. Has Chrome ZR1 aftermarket wheels and original Z06 wheels. Other than Varnum CIA and ZR1 wheels totally stock. The car also came with complete service history with receipts. I even have receipts for things as insignificant as windshield wipers. I know that now the weather is turning the prices seem to be going back up. Sorry not sure why the picture is so large.
Salesman n OKC contacted me last night and offered car to me at 16.000 and I popped. Started raining on way home from OKC and car looks like hell now. I am finally glad I am officially a corvette owner now.

Told ya so.... it was just car salesman talk. You waited and got what you wanted so I say to you.... Well Done! and welcome to the Vette world. CF here is a great place to ask questions, make friends and generally just a fun hangout place. So don't be a stranger. Lastly, I gotta ask. Being a fellow Okie, where do you live? Finish your profile for the rest of us. Again.. Congrats!!
Congrats Booger!!! (I can't believe I typed that!)
OK, what's the back story on the screen name?!
I was in junior high or a freshman in high school I can't remember when the movie revenge of the nerds come out, and my friends claim I always had or was spitting a lugi. So they started calling me booger, and it stuck.
Congrats on the new ride! I was just going to mention if you hadn't bought the car yet that pewter is an awesome color on a C5. Not sure what it is, but when you see one in person, they look even better. That would be my pick for a C5 if I were purchasing for my fiance as she doesn't like driving a stick. Sounds like you got it at a fair price, also. Good job!
Good eye.
The owner I bought the car from liked light oak and did not car for the black. When I bought the car the owner gave me the complete sock interior and wheels. Glove box, complete seats, seat belts, door cards, shifter boot, e-brake handle, carpet, floor mats, drivers knee pad, door sill trim etc. First thing I did when I got it home was remove the light oak reinstall the original interior. IMO the tan did not look right with the MY exterior.
