Default Spent $265 today

I took my car in to diagnose why the AC hasn't worked since I bought it in January.

They did a drain and pressure test and it passed. So they added new fluid and she blows cold now. I am happy there were no other issues, especially now that the weather is heating up.

While there I had them do an oil/filter change also.

Ready to roll!

A functional A/C will definitely be a bonus when the temps get a lot hotter.

Most certainly. Last year I had a c4 that barely dribbled any cold air and it was unpleasant to say the least.

The c5 isn't as cold or forceful as or more modern cars but it should definitely be adequate.

You got off lucky. I just went through the same scenario, but a dye test showed that my ac compressor o-ring was leaking. So I spent more $$ getting a new compressor, accumulator, orifice and service. Ice cold now and hopefully ready for summer.

Mine passed the pressure test but they added dye and told me to come back if it changes. Fingers crossed.

My ac compressor leaks at the seam I can't bring myself to replace it so I just fill it as needed. I bought the ac pro with the nice big gauge and stainless braided hose then just but the small cheap refills after that.

Can't bet that, A/C service and oil change, not too shabby. Specially with summer around the corner.
