I took my car in to diagnose why the AC hasn't worked since I bought it in January.
They did a drain and pressure test and it passed. So they added new fluid and she blows cold now. I am happy there were no other issues, especially now that the weather is heating up.
While there I had them do an oil/filter change also.
You got off lucky. I just went through the same scenario, but a dye test showed that my ac compressor o-ring was leaking. So I spent more $$ getting a new compressor, accumulator, orifice and service. Ice cold now and hopefully ready for summer.
I got colsd ac, it dosent come out of the ducts though! I gotta get my mine right and mess with them actuator doors. I remember the old Chevys, just a slide the ****, much easier then

Mine passed the pressure test but they added dye and told me to come back if it changes. Fingers crossed.
My ac compressor leaks at the seam I can't bring myself to replace it so I just fill it as needed. I bought the ac pro with the nice big gauge and stainless braided hose then just but the small cheap refills after that.
