I'm using Mobil 1 5-30 high mileage because I read that the additive package is almost the same as "ordinary" Mobil 1 was when our cars were new. Maybe someone could confirm/deny?
My car has around 75k. Uses no oil between changes (never has), has good oil pressure and no rattles, so I guess all is OK.
That is correct!!
All you have to do is look at the "starburst" logo on the oil jug. Mobil1 "HM" has an "SL" rating, while the current, regular Mobil1 has an "SN" rating. The "SN" rating means it's Dexos compliant, and has the reduced levels of ZDDP, and our C-5s were designed around the "SL" oil.......
I've been using Mobil One 0W-40 for a long time in many different vehicles and have never had any problems. It has great cold flow so the oil lubricates the engine quicker on start up which is when most wear occurs and it has excellent high temp stability which is good in hot climates or if you push the car hard like on track events. The extended Mobil One is also a great oil.

0W-40 is great for 35 below zero. I would not use it in my C5, though.
