If you put the clips back on the rotors that is your problem. If the replacement wheels do not have a relief cut into the stud holes to allow the clips to slip inside the wheels (like the factory wheels) they will not sit flat against the rotor hub.
Take the clips off and I will bet the problem will go away.

I figured I'd not say anything since he said it wasn't the issue. But that is where I was going with it.
The new disc are c'sink'd enough for the retainer. I only say they are not an issue from my days as a brake mechanic. I did 1000's of brake jobs that had them. The closer to the center of mass a problem is the less the problem manifest itself. The further out from center the worse it is. 1/2 ounce issue near center is virtually nothing. 1/2 ounce near the outside of the wheel is huge.
You missed it! Its not the weight, the tire is not square to the rotor/bearing and therefore has a wobble. Many have had that issue with new rims not have recess cut around the hole for the stud. Maybe that is not the issue but with all the info you have given it sounds like you need to remove the clip just to make sure but hey, its not my car shaking.
Steven, I put on new CCW wheels with tires mounted and balanced. The car nearly shook itself apart. It was the clips, when they were removed the problem went away.
For 10 minutes of effort to get them off it is well worth it to eliminate it as the issue.
I see. That's why I asked if I missed something. But if it was doing it before, with OE rims would lead me to think something is wore out. But if he put the clips back on,that would cause a problem if the new rims don't have room.
I've had a set of OE Wheels before and I also had a shake I couldn't find. Went to a different wheel and tire shop and they found 2 of them to be really out of round and they wouldn't balance. I had them squared up and no issues after that. I would suggest trying a different set of front wheels and tires and see if it helps at all also. Just another thing to eliminate.
Nothing in the steering column. Took the rotor retainers off all 4 wheels. Got the tires balanced (again). Gonna chalk this up to Vettes will be Vettes and you just gotta love em for what they are.
I appreciate the help and suggestions.
Let's just accept the fact that we all love a wholly impractical car that cost too much and has too many issues.
I don't know if I would give up on this....I really don't have an suggestions that haven't been mentioned but the car shouldn't shake....That would drive me insane....
