Is it just me or does the C5 seem to actively attract dust? I am starting to wonder if perhaps the fiberglass carries a static electrical charge? I love my car and want it clean but it seems like every time I go to take her out, I have to spend 15 minutes wiping her down. If anyone has any suggestions on methods to keep her dust free, I am all ears.
What are you using to clean the car with? Try using an indoor car cover in between drives...
I am using a car cover in between visits to the detail guy, but I still find dust all over the car. It especially collects in places like the bottom of the tail lamp recesses etc.
Could be the cover maybe adding to the static charge of the car. I know sometimes when I go to remove the cover from my car(outdoor) I get a small zap every no and again...

I suppose a physicist would have to answer that part of the question. For me, I am much more attentive to my Vette so it's easier to spot dust. California Duster is great for a quick dust-off. Just shake it out often.
I just removed the tail lights and found plenty of dirt at the bottom of the openings. There are taillight extensions. Also a forum vendor is offering a seal to put between the lens and and the hole.
Inside of house gets dusty all closed up.

I could be possible. But the most probable is you notice it much more on your Corvette vs DD. PS curious but makes me wonder if a ground strap would help?

Trying to keep my black '04 dust free is a full time job. Doesn't make a difference with the cover on or off. Just dust it off before I take her out. Now if the damn birds would miss once in a while I would be happy!
The body's plastic. Think about the static you could cause by rubbing a balloon. Cal duster's a life saver, but long term will cause tiny scratches. A better solution is a quick run over the body with Zaino Z6, which only takes a couple of minutes longer, and that beast will shine.

Do you use the Zaino 6 at full strength or do you dilute it.
