Just purchased my first Corvette. I was looking around for a while and decided on a 1999 torch red coupe.
It has 48,000 miles, 6 speed, F45 suspension, wagon wheels, the glass targa roof and Black and Tan interior.
Im very happy with my purchase and totally love this car. I looked around town locally ( south Florida ) and mostly could only find automatics available and only a handful of 6 speeds. I checked out multiple vettes and this one was screaming my name!
Great looking car and congrats! I bet you will want to change out the wagon wheels at some point.
yes at some point. I'm gonna try to keep it classy though and only plan on doing minor stuff to it. I am an airbrush artist by trade so I'm gonna base coat clear coat the engine plastics torch red, add a air intake and cat back system.
I already put the window tint on yesterday as you see in the pictures ( the sun is way to bright here in South Florida) plus I wanted to keep the sun off the interior.
I already installed the fmrc modulator ( the part from compliance parts) that bypasses the steering lock. because I got that pull key and wait 10 seconds message with the steering column lock message immediately after buying it. but I was already aware that this might occur and was already ready for it and prepared to face it.
Great find!
Looks like a well loved C5 with the right transmission. The paint looks flawless. Nice job on the tint, especially the rear window, you must have experience tinting automobile windows.
Congrat and welcome
Looks great. Keep the wagon wheels if you like them. Don't worry about other peoples opinions.
Wait for it........somebody will complain about the Body Side Moldings next.

I like the 'wagon wheels'. All the chrome multi-spoke do-dads that some put on their tires is not for me. But I am old school so original is my song.

It gets kind of old. Whenever a new C5 owner comes on, there are a few people that have to tell him what he needs to change. The new owner might love it just the way it is.
