Didn't know the C5 used transvestite fluid.
If you are not sure when the previous owner changed all the fluids, go ahead and do them. Nothing wrong with using the fluids specified in the owner's manuals. I would also check the belts and hoses on the car - even the latest C5 is 13 years old and those items do deteriorate with age as well as mileage.

buy some chadwicks and leave it parked in the garage, it will be fine... kidding aside, there are some stickies at the top of the general and tech sections that have a lot of info in them and also doing a search will pull up some old threads that might be helpful... there is a ton of info on here if you look for it and if you could be more specific with your questions you will get better answers
