Different dry sump options
I've searched for a while and have a pretty good handle on how I'm going to approach my LS7 swap. I'm just about done with building the engine, I just need the motivation do the rest, anyhow....
Has anyone mounted a sump tank inside the fender, without moving the battery to the rear?
Poking around it looks like if I move the ECM/TCS boxes up, I can fab a box that will fit behind the fender and use an extended fill neck to fill from the engine compartment. I think I can make the room I need by cutting the battery box mount off the frame and moving it over a few inches to the right. I haven't torn this car apart enough to know if there's suffient room to warrant the effort though.
To the people more versed in the C5 than I, and people who have done dry sump swaps, is it possible?
