After 17 Months of Hibernation
A day to remember. She's finally out of a 17 month storage and at the new home. I'll be spending the rest of my holiday refreshing the fluids and burning off all the old rubber on rear so new tires can be installed. Can't wait to get this tagged and back on the road.

Yah, 17 months in storage and the two year old new battery was dead. Imagine that. Got it charge up and took it around the block after scrapping my nose on the stupid rolled curb at this new pad. A 45 degree angle coming off the curb and it still scrapped. I was thinking about dropping it but that's out of the question now unless I can drive down the sidewalk and in the yard before hitting the driveway.
What a blast getting in the drivers seat again, it's like starting all over with a new car.

You will look like a baller driving down the sidewalk and grass to get over that curb, hahahah, I can picture your neighbors faces. Priceless

2.) Try this for steep driveway to street drop off...it's called Curb Cushion. Mine used to scrap...bad. No longer. This works great for my C5. You can find them at RV stores.

That's a pretty sweet set up. Ever have the street sweeper mess it up, or do you have it removed the majority of the time? I'll have to check out the home owners association here to see if there is any petty BS about dealing with these assn9 rolled curbs. So far I've been fined twice in less than a years time. My initial idea was a permanent piece of plate steel 8' long anchored into the asphalt and concrete, along with painting it a concrete gray. I'll be dealing with this issue once I get the car ready for the road.

Nice that it's out again and I bet it feels good to be in the seat. Where you located in Mesa? I'm far east and south.

I used to live at Lindsey and Brown but I moved to Gilbert, Recker and Ray, 17 months ago after living in Mesa since 1959. I tried to change the location here but couldn't find an editing tool for changing. I also lost my home page on this site, guess they deleted those years ago.

For what it's worth...I live in a giant townhouse neighborhood with a strict neighborhood association (Ive been contacted multiple times over the years for stupid violations). They haven't said a word about it. A number of neighbors asked me about it because they scrap low cars against the driveway-meets-curb area. The best part is...it comes in a box and you assemble it. During assembly, it has pre-fabbed screw holes which allow you to adjust the rubber mats up or down for less steep or very steep driveway entrances.
I dont work for this company, but I really wanted to share since I spent months looking for a solution. Scraping the C5 was killing me...I almost debated selling the house over it because you can't make permanent driveway alterations here (stupid association) and I won't get rid of the car. Problem solved.

Seen a car like that before somewhere!
Great that it is back on the road.
Question for you. How did the trailer handle with the car backed onto the deck? I have seen cars loaded like that before with the dreaded "trailer sway" happening.
Good luck getting all the maintenance done. Enjoy.
