I just did the adjustment on my 97 coupe. Vetteman Jack, our moderator, sent me the PDF file on the procedure via e-mail. I can send it to you if you PM me your e-mail address.
In my case, I had a roof rattle that was resolved after I lowered the two front brackets that the vertical roof pins drop into (called Front Latch Handle Strikers in the FSM).
The two 10 mm bolts on each striker bracket can be accessed by removing the roof, gently prying the plastic windshield molding back just enough to get an open end 10 mm wrench on them.
Use a non marring tool to pry the plastic molding.
The bolt holes in the striker brackets are elongated to allow the brackets to be moved up or down within the limits of the holes.
I loosened the bolts just enough to be able to tap the striker brackets down a little on each side, then tightened the bolts and re-installed the roof for a test ride.
It took a couple of try's, but no more roof rattles. That was about six years ago.
