I have a 1999 C5 and wanting to replace the suspension with a GT2 set up and wondering if a set of GT2 shocks will fit my C5?... if they are the same coilover I cant see them not fitting. just wondering if anyone knows the difference or if there are any differences between the C6 and C5 GT2 coilovers?...

The C5 and C6 use identical dampers, so coilovers should fit both unless something strange is going on. I couldn't turn up the actual spring rates on LG Motorsports' site, so my advice if you're considering one of these kits is to call a vendor and get some direct consultation on the product.
It sounds as though this is a Bilstein Damper kit with CNC mounts and spherical bearings(?). That would lead me to believe it's setup at higher spring rates than a C6 Z06. So you will be getting significantly stiffer spring rates, without a high end multi-valve damper, that sounds like a very harsh ride, but they are using high quality hardware, which would lessen the effects somewhat. If anyone has this kit, direct experience would be helpful!

pretty sure the gt2's are the same, the g2's are the ones built with custom spring rates and bilstein shocks... pm Anthony or give lg a call and they will know for sure
