Somehow my checkered flag emblem insert went missing on the trunk of my vert....I would rather glue in a used replacement whether it be oem or aftermarket. Drives me nuts looking at it now. Anyone out there have anything or ideas? Thanks
AFIK, you cant get just the insert, you have to get the entire emblem - IIRC, the ones for the hood and hatch are not cheap.
I think the waterfall emblem is the same size as the front/reat exterior emblems, and is about 1/2 the cost of the exterior emblem. Get one and try to carefully remove that piece, then glue it ito the one on the rear?

You can probably get some sign shop with a vinyl cutter to make the inserts and stick them in.
Some of the purist might think it cheesy but it would work and look fine to me.

Post up a wanted to buy thread in the C5 Parts for Sale/Wanted section for a used emblem. Then, depending on the condition of the emblem, you can either replace the entire piece or remove the insert and glue it into the one already on your car. You should be able to find a used emblem at a pretty good price compared to a new one.

I pulled off the checkered flag emblem and glued it onto my emblem. I still have the red flag emblem from the emblem I bought already pulled out. If you want it you can have it for half of what I paid.
I have my original front and rear emblems off my 2001. Not really trying to sell them, but have just been keeping them as a backup in case my 3rd party ones did not work out that I installed soon after I bought the car.
I would not want to break up the set, but if someone needed both the front and rear, I would sell mine for $70. Other than needing new adhesive to attach them, they are like new.
