273 automatic differential help
Hey guys I'm putting a c6 differential in my c5 I have the 273 gear c6 differential from a grand sport but they don't have the speed sensor on the differential like 342 differential do. has anyone ever drilled the spot out on the cases and seen if it would work? I had a shop drill mine and still not reading my speedometer.

Yeh. I've drilled out the boss and installed the vss sensor. Works great!
I installed a set of 3.73s in it too.
When you look into the hole, do you see the reluctor wheel?

Ok. If you only see the gear and not the reluctor, then that's why you don't have a vss signal.
From what I understand, the physical size of the 2.73 ring gear is different from the 3.15 and up. That's likely the issue you're having and why GM pulled the vss off the transmission on the auto C6 cars. Install a different ring and pinion and that should fix your issue.
