Hello everyone,
i just bought a set of Bosch iridium spark plugs for my 98 auto. Looking to get a set of wires to go with it, just wanting to see what are some good performance wires to go along. I've seen some say ACdelco, but they are only 7mm (seems thin for a performance car). Seen mixed reviews about MSD, though they are the typical 8.5mm. Seen mixed reviews for the Taylor's as well. Any feedback is appreciated.
Thank you!!

Seen AC Delco recommended.
7mm works fine not only for the LS1 & LS6, but for many modded motors as well. AC Delco is what I have, work great.
I've used the delco (what came on my car) some GM reds, and now some other performance wire that I can't remember the name of. I only replaced the reds because I burned a wire after 30k miles with headers and no socks/coating and a friend gave me the other wires.
They all work fine. I will go back with GM reds when I buy some more. 7mm is more than thick enough for the 3 inches from coil to plug.

Do you think just some socks would do it? Putting headers on sometimes this summer and I'd hate to burn up my new wires. No coating on my Kooks.

im sure it would. 30k miles is generally about when I change plugs anyways, and as cheap as the wires are it doesn't bother me to replace them at the same time.
I also carry around round a few old known good wires in the trunk since I know there's a chance they might go considering the close proximity to a couple of the primaries.
I dont like how the socks look, so the extra $30 every 30k miles is worth it to me. I also like how uncoated stainless headers look, turning different shades and colors.

I have ceramic coated Kooks long tube headers and currently use Taylor ThunderVolt 50 10.4mm spark plug wires which can withstand heat up to 600 degrees F. I also added plug wire heat shields over each wire for additional heat protection of up to 1800 degrees F and in case of contact due to of the thickness of my wires.
