Unfortunately, it's gonna be a couple years yet...the first step in the process isn't going so well either...trying to sell the bike and all I've gotten is 2 low ball offers so far...

I have mine lowered on LG drop spindles and Stance coil overs. The scraping occurs but on the center air dam (OEM) which I left in place for cooling. I will trim about an inch off of it, which will probably clear most driveways and road imperfections. But yes, I am more careful and approach most at an angle to be safe. Scraping was less of a concern than was using the stock bolts or aftermarket and shortening the travel of the suspension and bottoming out constantly on bumps and dips. But everyone will view that differently.

My front splitter sits barely a few inches off of the ground. The car is the most impracticable vehicle I've ever owned, and it's a pain the *** to get around town. I have to pre-plan where I drive the car before taking it out, and I wouldn't change a thing... but I'm

I have had no issues during normal driving situations, I am down 1.5" in front & 1.75" in the rear, my center air dam is cut to 1" below my fangs, only need to leave my driveway slow once my tires hit the street.

Mine's lowered on stock bolts, and I have Fat Daddy's installed. I have a pretty steep incline from the street into my driveway. The Fat Daddy's definitely come into play backing out... my neighbors cringe when the front end starts scraping, but they're doing their job... no damage to the front bumper cover yet. My corner pieces on the air dam have been scraped down pretty good tho. Will probably raise it up a hair... too many intersections that I scrape on driving through town. Yes, it looks good lowered, but practicality is coming into play more & more these days.

They look much better lowered IMO, you may not like it as well

....and you will still have to be careful, these cars are low anyway.

I lowered my car on stock springs just to try it out (was thinking of getting coilovers at the time). The performance improvement was immediately noticeable, the car doesn't scrape anymore than it used to, and I've honestly gotten used to the additional stiffness (my girlfriend doesn't even notice it).

So all in all, I think lowering on stock bolts is a great all around thing to do. It's cheap (free if you do it yourself), improves your looks, performance, and the "tradeoffs" really aren't that bad.

People really over embellish the sacrifices that are made when lowering the car on stock bolts, it's really not that big of a deal.

I do have C6 Z06 shocks (which I think help overall comfort quite a bit) and I did get an alignment afterwards...(which is a must).
